Laser hair removal

Our OPL (optimized pulsed light) laser machine provides quick, minimally painful, and effective treatments that result in permanent hair reduction. This treatment is a great way to avoid ingrown hairs and shaving nicks. The laser technology works by heating up the follicles and permanently destroying those that are in the growing phase of the hair cycle. With each treatment, you will notice a decrease in overall hair follicles. We recommend five to six treatments, one to two months apart, depending on the treatment location.

POST CARE LASER INFORMATION: Laser hair removal

After the laser treatment, it is normal for the skin to be pink and swollen. This can last for up to 48 hours. You can apply ice to the affected area and take Tylenol.

Until the redness resolves, do not use hot showers, saunas, pools, hot tubs, cosmetic products, or shave the area. It is best to keep the skin cool and well moisturized with basic lotions and creams.

Do not expose the area to the sun, tanning beds/lamps, exfoliating products or peels for 2 weeks after treatment. Doing so can cause negative side effects such as pain, redness, blisters, infection, peeling, scarring, discoloration, or burning of the skin.

The results are not immediate. It is normal for the hairs to take 1 to 2 weeks to fall out from the hair shaft.

You can continue to shave the treated area(s) as long as the skin is not pink or red. Do not pluck or tweeze the hairs, allow them to fall out on their own.

Avoid the sun and anything hot or abrasive to the area for two weeks. Apply SPF 45 to the area every morning and reapply every 2 hours if you are outdoors.

Depending on the area, you may need 4 to 6 treatments to get the desired results.

Non-ablative fractional laser resurfacing (for melasma, scar reduction, stretch marks, and acne scars)

This laser treatment is a great way to gently remodel the superficial layer of the skin meanwhile leaving it intact. This process leads to the stimulation of collagen with minimal downtime. This procedure is clinical proven to smoothen out acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. This laser device is the only one FDA approved to treat stretch marks. Additionally, this amazing laser is FDA approved for treating melasma, a condition that is often difficult to treat. Depending on the severity and the area of concern, the number of treatments can vary.

The results are not immediate. The skin will be pink, red, or swollen for the first 48 hours. It is normal for a thin scab to form on the treated area. The scab may take 2-4 weeks to fall off.

Do not pick, exfoliate, or scratch the scab off. This could lead to discoloration, scarring, or infection. The scab will fall off on its own in two weeks. It is ok to apply makeup to the area. Please apply sunblock SPF 45 every day to the treated area. Avoid the sun and anything hot or abrasive to the area for two weeks. For scars and stretch marks you will need 4 to 5 treatments to get the desired results.

For melasma, you will need 3 to 4 treatments and to follow strict sun avoidance and sunblock use after treatment.

LEG VEIN TREATMENT

Say bye bye to those unsightly leg veins. We offer two treatment options for blasting them away. For those purple to blue vessels, we offer sclerotherapy.

LEG VEIN TREATMENT (continued)

It is a tried and true, gold standard treatment that consists of injecting specially formulated, dilute saline into the undesired vessels. Over time, the vessel walls stick to one another and the vessel narrows.

For the smaller red and purple vessels, laser leg vein treatments is the way to go. The laser heats up the vessel, coagulates the red blood cells, which later gets metabolized by the body over a one to two week process. This is also a great treatment after completing sclerotherapy. We recommend leg vein treatments six to eight weeks apart.

POST CARE LASER INFORMATION: Leg Veins (continued)

The results are not immediate. The skin will be pink, red, or swollen for the first one to two days. After treatment, the leg veins may be more red, purple or black. This is normal. The body will reabsorb the treated red blood cells over the next two weeks.

It is ok to apply makeup to the area. Please apply sunblock SPF 45 every day to the treated area. Avoid the sun and anything hot or abrasive to the area for two weeks. Compression stockings are optional (20-30 mm/Hg).

Avoid high impact activity for 3 to 5 days.

Hemosiderin staining (brown pigmentation) may occur after treatment and usually resolves. Strict sun avoidance will decrease the risk of permanent staining. Large leg veins may take many months to resolve. DO NOT evaluate the vessels for 4 to 6 weeks.

You will need 2 to 3 treatments depending on the size of the vessels.

Photofacial (for sun spots, capillaries, rosacea, and cherry angiomas)

As our skin ages after years of sun exposure, it develops an overall uneven skin complexion. This treatment ‘cleans the slate’ and reverses the signs of aging on the face, chest, hands, or arms/legs. This treatment removes brown spots, overall redness, and broken capillaries. We recommend between one to three treatments one month apart.
